Republicans are already apprehensive about the weakened chances of businessman Mike Erickson in the fight for Oregon's only swing congressional district, but now they may have even more reason for concern. After coming forward to the Oregonian with more concrete details of her intimate relationship with Erickson, Tawnya is now being sought out by Democrats for a potential television ad that would attack Erickson for his hypocrisy when it come to the divisive issue of abortion.
GOP activists have been hearing speculation that certain inquiries were being made by Democratic consultants, not necessarily those representing Democratic nominee state Sen. Kurt Schrader's campaign, but possibly from likely organizations that have a vested interest in Schrader's victory in November (some sort of liberal 527 sounds about right). No word on whether they will meet with any success given that Tawnya is allegedly a registered Republican.
The Oregonian has endorsed GOP State Rep. John Lim for re-election, and wants Democrat Suzanne Van Orman to replace retiring Republican Patti Smith's seat. The newspaper is backing ... >

Tawnya to do Erickson attack ads?
I happen to know that Tawnya has no plans to participate in any Dem attack ads, nor has anyone from the Dem. party contacted her.
Tawnya's intentions in bringing this story to light was not to find notoriety as the poster child for pro-life, pro-choice, Mannix, or the Democratic party (as you might note from the struggle reporters have had in getting in touch with her.) She came forward because it was the right thing to do for the voters of our district. I think a lot of us out there are tired of having our vote manipulated and basically stolen due to the lies we are told by politicians. Voting has become a gamble...

Why is it that we become jaded when a pro-athlete screws up... we all comment that they should be better role models for our youth. Why is it that we don't have the same expectation for politicians... The folks that we put our trust in to represent our voice??
