a good first effort
While Kroger's ad may not be as "edgy" as mac's, it certainly is more pleasing to most voters, who don't have the time or energy to wade through negativity in yet another campaign. Kroger is pushing his background, which is reassuring, especially if many people do not quite understand the complexities and enormity of the AG's job. It is probably a draw with mac on this first round.
