Hooley, Edwards and Castillo Endorse Macpherson

Release Date: Nov 15 2007

My campaign continued to build momentum today, as three new high profile elected officials endorsed my candidacy:

- Congresswoman Darlene Hooley, whose district includes much of the northern Willamette Valley,
- Oregon State Treasurer Randall Edwards, and
- Oregon Superintendent of Public Instruction Susan Castillo.

These endorsements mean a lot to me. Along with Governors Kulongoski and Roberts (who both endorsed me earlier this year), these are leaders who know what it takes to improve the personal safety and financial security of Oregon families.

Greg Macpherson today won the endorsements of three key Democratic officials in his bid for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General. Rep. Darlene Hooley, State Treasurer Randall Edwards and Superintendent of Public Instruction Susan Castillo said they would support Macpherson for the state's top law enforcement post.

Macpherson, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, now has the backing of “all three of the current statewide elected officials who have taken positions in the race, two of the last three governors, and the only federal elected official who has chosen a candidate,” according to his campaign.
