Obama camp: ‘This state has always been close’

A spokeswoman for Barack Obama’s Oregon campaign said they have been bracing themselves for a close battle in the Beaver State all along. So when a poll released Wednesday showed that John McCain had trimmed Obama’s lead to four points, they weren't panicked.

Obama scores another Oregon superdelegate

Another Oregon super delegate caught the Obama bug today.

Jenny Greenleaf, the Democratic Party of Oregon’s DNC Committeewoman, today endorsed the Senator from Illinois.

Oregon has 12 super delegates; Greenleaf is the fourth to endorse Obama (Reps. Blumenhauer, Wu and DeFazio are also in Obama’s camp) while Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Rep. Darlene Hooley stand with Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Defazio commits, Wyden still up in the air

As the Oregon primary looms near, the race to secure more superdelegates continues to heat up. Barack Obama's campaign announced today the endorsement of Congressman Peter Defazio, adding to current endorsers Congressmen Earl Blumenauer and David Wu.
