Its numbers day for the Oregon branches of the Democratic presidential campaigns.
Hillary Clinton’s Oregon campaign announced today that over 5,000 women across the state have publically declared their support for the candidate, and is holding a Women for Hillary phone bank out of the Portland office today.
Meanwhile, the Obama campaign released its own number: 31,770 voters registered over the last month throughout Oregon. Obama has benefitted from the support of young voters, and has accordingly been attempting to register as many as possible. The national campaign recently launched a 50-state voter mobilization drive.
The Oregonian has endorsed GOP State Rep. John Lim for re-election, and wants Democrat Suzanne Van Orman to replace retiring Republican Patti Smith's seat. The newspaper is backing ... >
