Perhaps given the Portland Business Alliance’s dual endorsement in the mayoral race—they voiced support for both Sam Adams and Sho Dozono—and the Multnomah County Democratic Party’s dual endorsements in two contested City Council races, one might have expected that both Sho and Sam would be enjoying support from the latter.
Instead, the Multnomah Dems sided solely with Adams yesterday. Their endorsement noted their “wish to endorse any candidate whose ability, position on relevant issues, and participation in the Democratic Party would justify our active support…”
It has been a busy week for Adams, who also received the endorsement of “Just Out”, Portland’s community newspaper of gay and lesbian news, and took Dozono on in a televised debate.
