Marks builds support

Steve Marks’ freshly assembled campaign is rolling out endorsements today.Former Governor John Kitzhaber and former Oregon Democratic Party Chairman Jim Edmunson have both thrown their support behind Marks.

"I am honored to have the support of my friends Governor Kitzhaber and Jim Edmunson. Their values and commitment to public service and the people of Oregon exemplify the best qualities of the Democratic Party," said Marks.

Marks additionally noted the endorsements of a number of mayors, city commissioners, and law enforcement officials.

Marks is facing off against Sen. Kurt Schrader for the Democratic nomination in the 5th Congressional District.

This could be a tight race

This could be a tight race with such a small amount of democratic primary voters money doesn't matter as much. Looks like the DCCC's "in case toxic news breaks" candidate has proven himself worth.

You're kidding, Right? This

You're kidding, Right? This is not news by any stretch of the imagination, since Marks' experience consists mostly of several years as an aide to Kitzhaber, and Edmonson gets his name in the papers.

For all I know, Mr Marks was rolling out the carpet in front of Jesus when he stepped out of the boat on the Sea of Galilee.

Got nothing against him.
Never heard of him.

But tell me again, why is this endorsement by his former boss and a south valley attorney worthy of the keystrokes?
