Portland Mayor Tom Potter will be “eating a little humble pie” tonight.
In December, Potter lost a little wager with Vancouver, WA Mayor Royce Pollard. The prize? Potter has to proclaim the 15 best things about Vancouver in from of the city council.
“It was a simple wager,” Pollard told KGW. “The mayor who raised the most money for Operation Santa Claus while working the phones at KPAM would invite the less successful mayor to their city council meeting to list the 15 best things.”
In the end, there was really no contest. Potter raised $1,100 during the phone-a-thon but Pollard totaled $22,000.
“I can’t wait to hear all the reasons why he loves us so much,” Pollard said.
